Apple’s $3 billion acquisition of Beats closed in August and most of the conversation since then has focused on Apple’s plans for the Beats Music streaming service. However, Apple hasn’t forgotten about Beats Electronics users.
The company is apparently adding Beats products to the list of electronics that it repairs in its stores. According to 9to5Mac, Apple will now service Beats products in-store when previously the only service offered was via phone.
This change is supposed to come into effect on Tuesday, November 18th, along with a couple of other changes relating to the process for mail-in, loaner, and in-store iPhone repairs. All of the above will be rolling out to Apple stores around the world except for locations in Brazil, Turkey, Australia, China, and Hong Kong.
9to5Mac also mentions that Apple will launch brand new Apple Store gift cards ahead of the holidays. These will be available in gold, silver, and space grey and sold at third-party retailers. It’s not clear if Canadians will be able to give the gift of an Apple Store experience this holiday season or if these cards are U.S.-only.
