Samsung teases Unpacked 5 event again, possibly shows off new TouchWiz UI

Samsung has once again taken to Twitter to remind the masses that the upcoming “Unpacked 5” event is happening on February 24th in Barcelona. This will be streamed live via YouTube and rumours are that the Galaxy S5 will officially be unveiled.

On this Twitter post, Samsung shows off what looks to be a new UI — very refreshed when compared to older versions. All the associated icons point could towards how Samsung could possibly be positioning their event and what features their products might have. Icons such as Speed, Outdoor, Curiosity, Fun, Social, Style, Privacy (perhaps a new version of Knox), Fitness (S Health) and Life are all outfitted with the number 5, which looks to be a notification on your homescreen. Samsung is expected to show off a flatter version of TouchWiz, which previously leaked online, at the upcoming Unpacked 5 event.

The design of the GS5 won’t stray too far from its current style: a Samsung exec recently said the new flagship is “about the display and the feel of the cover.” Rumoured specs have ranged from a 5.25-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display (2560×1440 pixels), a 16MP camera, 3GB of RAM, with Android 4.4 and a version of TouchWiz.
