The Marina Mabrey Rogers internet fiasco has yet another chapter, although it has a pretty interesting development.
Essentially, Bell has replied to Mabrey on social media, trying to win her over following her trouble with her Rogers internet.
The telecom giant posted a custom “Wi-Fi Trade Proposal” for the Toronto Tempo all-star, advertising speeds of up to 8Gbps and some very cheeky shots at Rogers with the taglines “We answer your calls” and “it literally works.”

As expected, given how her Rogers experience has been so far, Mabrey replied to Bell with “callll mee.”
Adding some context, Mabrey went to the press about her issue with Rogers following a post to X about the scenario, asking for help. She stated that a technician had even come out to her apartment to fix the router, but the repair didn’t address any of the problems.
“I want my WiFi to work. I’m sick to death. I Can’t order anything from Skims, Fashion Nova; I can’t order nothing. I can barely FaceTime. I’m pissed,” Mabrey told the media last week.
Of course, we don’t know yet if Mabrey made the switch, but many Canadians can relate to her frustration.
I expect reporters will ask Mabrey about updates whenever the Tempo practice next. Or this becomes a great marketing opportunity for the Tempo, who are one of the few Toronto sports teams not owned in any capacity by Rogers.
