Donkey Kong 64 will join the Nintendo Switch Online catalogue on June 4.
It’s a notable get for the service, as the Rare-developed N64 platformer was DK’s first — and, until last year’s Donkey Kong Bananza, only — 3D adventure and a classic in its own right. The game follows DK as he sets out to rescue his kidnapped family from the evil King K. Rool. But perhaps its biggest legacy is the masterpiece that is the “DK Rap.”
Donkey Kong 64 joins a catalogue of more than 40 N64 games on Switch Online, including Super Mario 64, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Star Fox 64, GoldenEye 007, Mario Party, F-Zero X, and Pokémon Stadium.
N64 games on Switch Online require the Expansion Pack membership, which costs $69.99/year and also includes perks like Sega Genesis, Game Boy Advance and GameCube (Switch 2 only) games.
