On the second Thursday of Taylor Swift’s concert arc in Toronto, the Swifties put a real dent in Rogers’s data bucket by using 7.4TB in a single night. This broke Rogers’ previous record and took place over roughly three hours. Keep in mind this is just Rogers users, so with all the other telecoms combined, the number is likely three times this.

The telecom says this amount of data is equivalent to uploading 182,000 pictures and 1,600 hours of video. Presumably, this is what most of the data used consisted of as the fans took to social media to share their experiences.

Previously, Diljit Dosanjh fans set the record in July 2024 when they used 5.4TB of data. But that was before Rogers added $8 million worth of 5G upgrades to the stadium, which the company says is equal to 33 cell towers all in one area.

Over the full six days of Taylor’s performances, fans on Rogers’ network used 42TB of data.
