Today is HP/Palm’s big “Think Beyond” announcement. Many new products are expected to be revealed: phones and tablets… but why wait until the official press event. HP has revealed 3 new products on their own site under the “Deals & Offers” section: the HP Veer, Pre 3 and TouchPad. The small ad states that “HP webOS now in S, M, L. Introducing the Veer, Pre3 and TouchPad”. This is on the American site, nothing has popped up on the Canadian site yet. Rogers and Bell are supposed to be getting the webOS based tablet in the April time period.
The event is now Live and Jon Rubinstein is on stage. Introduced the “Veer”: looks like a mini Pre (size of a credit card). HSPA +, 8GB storage, 360 x 400 screen resolution, Snapdragon 800mhz processor, WiFi.
Next up is the Pre3: 3.6-inch display, 480×800 WVGA resolution, 5-megapixel camera, autfocus, LED flash, records HD video, Forward facing camera, video calling, 8GB and 16GB options and will be available this Summer.
The TouchPad is officially announced: 9.7 high res display (1024×768), Bluetoth, 16 and 32GB, Video Calling, Dual Core Snapdragon
