Yak submits application for Canadian wireless auction

Yak submits application for wireless auction - MobileSyrup.com

Yak Communications CEO Anthony Lacavera said “Canada is one of the least competitive wireless markets in the world. Cell phone rates are too high and penetration is too low. Many Canadians do not realize that they’re paying from 60 per cent to almost 80 per cent more than Americans for their wireless service.”

With this, Yak announced the submittion of their application to enter Canada’s wireless auction and bold communicated their stand as the “no contracts, no gimmicks” national wireless provider.

“We look forward to the opportunity to compete on equal footing with an honest and straightforward wireless offering that resonates with Canadian consumers. It’s time for an entrant in the wireless market that will provide Canadians with a new cost-effective, feature-rich offering. Yak is uniquely positioned to be that offering.” said Lacavera. “
