Apple releases iOS 7 beta 2 to developers, includes iPad support

Apple has released iOS 7 beta 2 to developers today, which officially contains “bug fixes and improvements” to the redesigned and initially-divisive mobile operating system.

One major addition in the second beta is support for the iPad and iPad mini, though support only goes back to the iPad 2.

Because it’s under a developer NDA, we can’t say whether this version improves stability and performance on what is assumed to be a buggy software base, but you can rest assured that iPhone users will find a stable and feature-filled upgrade when it is released this fall.

Existing iOS 7 beta users can go to Settings / General / Software Update and begin the over-the-air download. Registered developers can head to Apple’s Developer Portal for more information on how to sign up.
