The Ontario Provincial Police’s (OPP) latest March Break blitz resulted in 2,400 distracted driving-related charges.

The OPP also noted that 2017 has seen 11 deaths caused by distracted driving, which is on pace to overtake 2016 stats of 65 people dying from this issue. Now part of the “Big Four,” distracted driving has become the leading cause of road deaths in Ontario, now well above alcohol-related deaths, speeding and seatbelts.
