Google Play Music offering new subscribers three months of service for $3

With Apple rumoured to be launching its own subscription music service later this year, it seems Google is keen to snag as many users as it can before the summer hits. The company has launched a new discount aimed at users who have never used the streaming service before.

Android Police reports that this deal offers three months of service for just three dollars, and a quick glance at the Canadian Play Store confirms the deal is good in both the United States and Canada. Of course, U.S. users ultimately get the better deal since they also have access to YouTube Music Key. Hopefully that will roll out to Canadians soon.

If you’ve been waiting to try Google Play Music for a while but have been reluctant due to the cost, now’s your chance. Android Police reports that the offer is not available to those that have had a free trial of the service before.
