Wide Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 video shows its thinness

It's also wider than I thought it'd be

Leaks about upcoming phones aren’t unusual, but this one has me excited. A live video of a dummy phone version of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Wide shows the new product in all of its thin glory.

The leak from Sonny Dickson gives a pretty good look at the hardware and showcases how thin and wide the device is going to be. Dickson says that the phone is literally the S25 Edge thin when folded. However, Ben Shoon of 9to5Google points out that it’s impossible, and it would have to be more than 6mm thick when folded due to the size of the USB-C port. This means it’s probably as thin as the Z Fold 7.

The leak shows that the passport is also pretty wide in your hands. I like this passport format. I think it looks incredibly stylish, and the design is more usable — especially when it’s unfolded.

Rumours suggest that this will be called the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the design we’re used to will get the name Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
