Koodo Mobile

KoodoMobile now live - was it worth the hype?

Only time will tell if the new Telus discount carrier is a “Good Call”. Koodo Mobile (pronounced Koo-doh) gives you the flexibility of 3 different basic phones with different options of plans: Samsung U410, Motorola KRZR K1M and Motorola W385. Plans start at $15 to $65. If you are in the market for a base plan with really base phones this might be the place for you to go. Unlimited texting for $5 and per second billing… and the website is now live.

With Koodo there is no system activation fee (usually around $35) and no monthly system access fee (usually arount $7). All plans start at $15/month come with 50 text messages. Koodo has created the Koodo Tab that allows you to buy a phone at retail and as you use your phone, 10% of yoru bill goes to paying off your “Tab”. Good idea if you want the 3 phones they currently have.

Koodo is available online or at a Koodo Mobile Kiosk, BestBuy, Future Shop, London Drugs, Wal-Mart, The Brick and Zellers locations.
