The Xperia go – an Android device that is “Sony’s most durable, water-resistant smartphone” – is launching in Canada this November. Fido will add the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich powered device in black and white, but if you want more colour, plus unlocked, Sony Stores will carry a “limited edition yellow” version.
Specs of the go have it with a 3.5-inch display (resolution of 480 x 320), 5MP camera that shoots 720p HD videos, 1 GHz dual core processor, 8GB internal memory and can be expanded to 32GB with a microSD card, OS 4.0, dust, water and scratch resistance. In addition, Sony will be pre-loading “Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited apps from Sony Entertainment Network,” plus users will get 50GB of cloud storage from Box.
