It’s official. Wind is launching their wireless service in Kitchener-Waterloo on Tuesday, August 16th. There’s no indication on the coverage area, just that the doors will open at 9:00am at the Fairview Park Mall store in Kitchener. To celebrate this news WIND noted on the company blog that “Our first 50 customers will have the chance to buy a contract-free BlackBerry Curve 3G for only $6, and a free month of service to go along with it”.
K-W will join Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver and Ottawa. Next up in the plan is expanding to Peterborough, St. Catharines and Niagara.
