A Rogers customer called the telecom inquiring about unlimited Canada/U.S. long-distance, and he got it free of charge.
Rogers offered me unlimited Canada + US free of charge. Same data and visual voicemail as before.

According to a post on Reddit, the customer called the Toronto-based carrier and asked about plans offering unlimited Canada/U.S. calling. The Rogers employee offered them a $135/mo plan with Canada/U.S. and 250GB of data. The customer replied saying that they didn’t need all that data or a plan that costs so much, so Rogers ended up giving them Canada/U.S. for free on their existing plan.
That initial plan included 120GB of data, visual voicemail, unlimited international text, picture and video messages, and now also includes unlimited Canada/U.S. calling as well as texting, all for $50 ($45 with auto pay).
The customer mentions in the Reddit post that they have been a loyal customer with Rogers for the past ten years, and that this was not a winback or EPP discount.
This is actually an amazing deal. I needed unlimited Canada/U.S. calling with Bell, but I paid $75 for it (with 150GB of data). Still, this deal is good, and if you call in, your mileage may vary, but I would at least give it a shot.
