LG Optimus 2X hits Fido shelves, available today

A dual-core Android has made its way to Fido today. The LG Optimus 2X runs 2.2 but will be upgraded to OS 2.3 soon, this also comes with a NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual Core 1 GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera that captures 720 HD videos, 4-inch touchscreen. The 2X is available for $100 on a 3-year and the cheapest no-contract price in Canada for $425 outright (WIND has this for $445 and Videotron has it for $529.95).

    • Yeah they do look similar in both appearance and specs in some regards. Just checked Fido’s site and says they are already out of stock, go figure!

    • To clarify though,
      Sg2 is 1.2ghz and LG O2 is 1ghz.
      Sg2 HSDPA, 21 Mbps vs. LG02 7.2mpbs
      Sg2 16gb internal vs. LG02 8 gb

      but if you prefer Fido’s voice/data plans vs. Bell’s its a good alternative.

    • Do not forget RAM (1GB vs 512MB), better GPU, thinner, quality of S-AMOLED+ display, etc.

  11. Never buying an LG product ever again… No customer support. 2.3 still isn’t out yet… and we’re almost in November… phone’s been out since FEB? also won’t upgrade with Ice Cream Sandwich… love the phone, but no customer support from LG… not looking good.
