The OnePlus 13 still has a few months before launch, but that hasn’t stopped OnePlus from revealing details about its upcoming flagship.
The latest news from OnePlus reveals that the 13’s screen supports a local high refresh rate feature. This technology could apply a higher or lower refresh rate on specific parts of a display instead of having the refresh rate apply to the entire display.
This should help with the OnePlus 13’s battery consumption, as a higher refresh rate uses more power. The feature could prevent the whole screen from using a 120Hz or 165Hz refresh rate and only have it for the part of the screen that’s playing a video. It can also help for running apps, videos or games in split-screen.
The handset is also rumoured to sport a ‘sun display’ that should offer accurate colours and better visibility under the sun. OnePlus also says that the ‘Outdoor touch experience’ is industry-leading.
