PlayStation has announced a global concert tour featuring music from some of its most popular games.

Produced in partnership with RoadCo Entertainment and GEA Live, PlayStation: The Concert will play music from Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, Santa Monica Studio’s God of War, Guerrilla Games’ Horizon and Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima franchises. Sony says each show will feature “a stunning fusion of multi-layered visuals, immersive surround sound, and an all-star ensemble blending classical and modern instruments.”

Interestingly, PlayStation’s blog post says music from these four games will be featured “amongst many others” from its 30-year history, so it remains to be seen what the other titles will be.

PlayStation: The Concert will kick off in April 2025 in Dublin before heading to more than 200 cities across Europe, the United Kingdom, the U.S. “and beyond.” While the official blog post doesn’t mention Canada, both the official PlayStation Canada X (Twitter) account and website posted about the show. For now, though, PlayStation says it’s only confirming European tour dates, with announcements for “other world locations [coming] very soon.”

Given the number of popular PlayStation franchises, a concert featuring some of their music seems like a no-brainer. Oscar winner Gustavo Santaolalla’s score for The Last of Us, in particular, is especially beloved, and he was even brought on to do the music for the eponymous HBO series as well.

The timing of the concert is particularly beneficial to Sony from a brand synergy perspective. In 2025, both the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us and Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima sequel, Ghost of Yōtei, will debut. Guerrilla Games is also set to launch Lego Horizon Adventures later this year (ahead of a leaked multiplayer game and third mainline Horizon), while all eyes are on Santa Monica to see how it follows up 2022’s acclaimed God of War Ragnarök.

Meanwhile, video game concerts in general have only grown in popularity over time. This year alone, sold-out concerts for the likes of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, Stardew Valley and Sonic the Hedgehog were held in Canada. It remains to be seen what other gaming companies might go the concert route in the future.
