The OnePlus 13 could sport magnetic wireless charging similar to the latest iPhones. According to 91mobiles, who sources OnePlus’ Lie Jie Louis on Weibo, the handset set to launch later this month in China may come with magnetic wireless charging support.
According to the report, a OnePlus fan asked Jie Louis if the bamboo cases would return. Jie Louis said no, but the ‘wood grain’ cases for the OnePlus 13 “feel very good.” Additionally, Jie Louis said that the cases would support a “magnetic suction function,’ which suggests the feature is coming to the OnePlus 13.
This isn’t completely shocking, as Oppo, OnePlus’ parent company, is expected to launch a new Find X8 series device with magnetic charging.
The OnePlus 13 is also rumoured to sport a 6.82-inch 2K 10-bit LTPO “micro-curved” display. The handset also sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with an Adreno GPU, alongside 24GB and 512GB. There’s also supposed to be a 50-megapixel primary shooter, alongside a 50-megapixel periscope and ultra-wide-angle lenses. It’s also supposed to sport a 6,000MAh battery with 100W fast charging support — but that just seems like a dream.
We’ll learn more about the OnePlus 13 when it officially launches in China.
