Happy Monday! We’re kicking off this week with a somewhat plausible rumour about the Google Pixel 9a’s new potential design.
These images were posted on a Facebook group for Vietnamese Pixel fans before quickly spreading across the rest of the internet.
From the images, we can glean that the upcoming low-cost phone will have the same boxy design as the well-regarded Pixel 9 series, but unlike the new 9 and 9 Pro, the potential 9a seems to have a much smaller camera sensor packed into an almost non-existent camera bump. Like the 8a, the 9a will have a regular and an ultrawide camera sensor.
In the past, Google has released its A-series of phones in May, but since the regular Pixel 9 and 9 Pro have come out two months earlier this year, maybe the A-series will as well. This is also the earliest we’ve seen a Pixel phone leak which also points towards Google shifting up the 9a release date.
All that being said, I’ve heard great things about the Google Pixel 8a, so if you need a new phone now and don’t want to spend a lot of money, you can’t go wrong.
