Twitter for Android updated, plays nicer with Galaxy Nexus

Twitter for Android was updated a few days ago, and things certainly improved in terms of scrolling performance on the Galaxy Nexus, but typing was another matter. It was tough to get a word in between the stuttering and general failing of the app. Now, it has been updated again and all the bugs seem to be fixed. Scrolling is smooth, typing even more so, and the ability to swipe over a tweet to bring up the context menu is also a bit cleaner.

Overall this is more of a maintenance release but anyone with a Galaxy Nexus is going to want to pick this up.

Get it in the Android Market.

Update: Turns out there is a lingering issue with notifications and contact syncing in this build. Be aware when upgrading as you’ll likely lose push notifications as a result.
