BestBuyMobile.ca unofficially launches before brand & stores

*UPDATE: Brand has been launched, but website not officially working or launched yet.*

We’ve been following Best Buy Mobile Canada since it was announced back in June. An invitation was sent out earlier this week to walk around the new store layout and play with some phones. This really ensured some hype for an official launch of the brand by end of the week.

With our feelers out we decided to check out www.bestbuymobile.ca earlier today and found a redirect to BestBuy.ca. However, we just checked the site again and this baby is live! The brand has yet to officially launch and from what we hear they are still stocking the shelves in the stores.

According to the website they will have Best Buy Mobile “in a store” at the following locations: Ancaster, ON; Langley, BC; Edmonton, Alberta; Oakville, ON. In addition, Best Buy Mobile stand alone stores: Vaughn Mills Shopping Center (Now Open it says), Fairview Mall (opening September 26th) and Square One opening soon.

The site is not yet full active but it seems that they are getting ready to work a BlackBerry Bold promo into the mix by selling it at $399 and offering a free $50 card with any purchase of a BlackBerry devise (a 3-year plan with a $45 voice and data plan will needed to be signed).

Best Buy “Promise”: The best choice of phones and networks, Informed and impartial advise, Straighforward pricing, Someone to be there for the life of your phone.

“The Best Buy Mobile Difference”: Seamless e-mail set up free at no charge, free data transfer and free Bluetooth heaset pairing.

More to come soon!
