Samsung patent reveals possible design for Galaxy X foldable smartphone

New details have surfaced revealing a potential design for Samsung’s upcoming smartphone, which is reportedly internally known as ‘Galaxy X’ or ‘Project Valley.’ According to a new patent application, Samsung could come to market with a bendable smartphone featuring a hinge in the middle that resembles the one present in Microsoft’s Surface Book.

If the images do come to life, the phone will likely feature the same, ports, camera and physical home button we now see as standard.

Samsung’s latest quarterly earning revealed plans to ensure its next flagship smartphone features “differentiated design and innovative features.” This phrase could specifically be referring to the Galaxy S8 and its lack of a home button, as well as the inclusion of a digital assistant.
