Get ready, Nintendo is releasing new info about its first mobile game tomorrow

Approximately a year ago Nintendo revealed its plan to enter the mobile space through a new partnership with Japanese mobile developer DeNA.

Finally, after months of silence, it seems we’re set to receive the first details about the company’s upcoming foray into the world of mobile gaming.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting Nintendo intends to announce additional information about its plans for mobile during the company’s upcoming financial report, set to be released tomorrow.

In the past, Nintendo has said it hopes to have one mobile title out before the end of 2015 and a total of five mobile games released by March 2017.

“We will provide updates on our project with DeNA tomorrow,” said Nintendo chief executive officer Tatsumi Kimishima in a recent press release.

Despite Nintendo’s recent struggles with the Wii U, the company is reportedly on track to turn a profit this year, in part thanks to the success of its amiibo NFC-enabled action figures, the 3DS and Super Mario Maker, a Wii U game that allows players to create their own Mario levels.

In other Nintendo related news, Satoru Iwata, the company’s former president, recently past away at the age of 55. Following Iwata’s death Kimishima has taken over the top position at the Japanese video game giant.
