HTC Desire 510 now available from Rogers and Fido [Update]

HTC Desire 510 3V White

HTC’s latest Android is neither powerful nor expensive, but an entry-level product meant to compete with the Moto G LTE and Samsung’s Galaxy Core LTE.

With a 1.2Ghz Snapdragon 400, the HTC Desire 510 is a decent performer at an excellent price. It has a 4.7-inch 854×480 pixel LCD display, certainly low for its price point, along with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of expandable storage, a 5MP rear camera with no flash, a 2,100mAh battery and Android 4.4.2 with Sense 6.0. It’s also HTC’s cheapest LTE-capable device.

Available at Rogers and Fido in white or grey for $0 on a 2-year term or $200 outright, the Desire 510 marks another entry into the hyper-competitive entry-level Android space dominated by Motorola and Samsung.

Update: We’ve received word that the North American variant of the HTC Desire 510 is a 32-bit model with a Snapdragon 400 chip, featuring four 1.2Ghz Cortex-A7 cores and an Adreno 305 GPU. Sorry for the confusion.
