Galaxy S5 mini to be called the Galaxy S5 Dx, will launch with several colour options

An image has leaked online that shows a Samsung device called the “Galaxy S5 Dx.” This screenshot, courtesy of reputable device leaker @evleaks, is from the Samsung UK site and reveals the model number SM-G800, which has long been rumoured to be the Galaxy S5 mini.

Previous reports indicated that Samsung will launch this scaled down version of its flagship with a 4.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, Android 4.4 KitKat, an 8MP rear-camera and a 2MP front-facing camera, a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,100 mAh battery.

As the image shows, the Galaxy S5 Dx has a similar design to the Galaxy S5, but appears to lack a heart rate sensor. In addition, the GS5 Dx looks like it will be available in several colour options: black, blue, white, yellow and gold.

Unfortunately, there is no indication of when an official announcement will be made, carrier partners, or a price point.
