Prime Video unveiled its latest slate of Canadian originals at Amazon Upfront 2026 in Toronto today.
Notably, the upcoming programming includes titles hailing from famous Canadians like singer Michael Bublé, the Property Brothers’ Drew Scott and Heated Rivalry creator Jacob Tierney. Additionally, Prime Video announced a major long-term deal with the NBA to stream numerous basketballs games on the platform.

Complètement dans le champ (Heels in the Hay)
Produced by Montreal’s Trio Orange, this French-language reality series follows a group of urban content creators as they’re challenged with moving to the countryside to work and live outside of their comfort zone, all to win a big cash prize.
Host, cast details and release timing will be announced on a later date.
Hometown Giants
As part-owners of the major junior ice hockey team, the Vancouver Giants, Michael Bublé and Drew Scott help teenagers pursue a career in the NHL. The six-episode series is produced by Scott Brothers Entertainment.

LOL: Qui Rira Le Dernier? Season 5 and Halloween Special
Host Patrick Huard (Bon Cop Bad Cop) invites former players from the first four seasons to return for a rematch. Cast details for the six-episode series will be revealed in the future.
In addition to the new season, Montreal production company Attraction will also release a Qui Rira Le Dernier Halloween special. The three-episode event will feature Huard and eight TV hosts in a spooky-themed version of the show set in a haunted mansion.

NBA deal
As part of a major 11-year global agreement with the NBA, basketball games will be streamed on Prime Video in Canada starting in October. The deal includes 67 regular season games, the Emirates NBA Cup 2026, all six games from the 2027 Play-In Tournament, exclusive coverage of first- and second-round NBA Playoff games, and an exclusive Conference Finals series in six of the 11 years of the deal (starting in the 2027 season). The NBA schedule for the 2026-2027 season will be shared at a later date.
Additionally, Prime Video has expanded its WNBA partnership with an 11-year agreement that includes 30 regular season games, the Commissioner’s Cup Championship, and exclusive postseason coverage including one first-round playoff series beginning this season, plus seven semifinal series and three WNBA Finals over the life of the deal. The 2026 WNBA season launched on Prime Video on May 14.
Opération déception (Operation Deception)
Renowned journalist Patrick Lagacé and investigative reporter Victor Malarek explore how a controversial undercover operation sent a drug-addicted Quebec forestry student to death row in Thailand in 1989.
The two-part documentary was produced by Montreal’s Pixcom and Amazon MGM Studios.

The Pig Farm Killer: Robert Pickton (working title)
From Toronto-based Fathom Film Group comes this three-part true crime series about Robert Pickton, the notorious Canadian serial killer known as the “The Pig Farmer Killer” who terrorized Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside for decades.
Premiere date: Fall 2026
Surrender (working title)
Hosted by Canadian entrepreneur and TV host Scott McGillivray (Income Property), this new survival series follows a group of strangers in the remote Canadian wilderness.
The eight-episode series is produced by Toronto’s MEM and will begin production this fall.

Young Farts Trailer Parts (formerly known as Trailer Trash)
From executive producer Jacob Tierney (Heated Rivalry) comes this comedic docuseries about Vegreville, Alta. brothers Jagger and Dawson Glowatsky who turned their “Young Farts RV Parts” business into a viral sensation. The six-episode unscripted reality series was produced by Lionsgate Canada.
Premiere date: July 17, 2026
These Canadian titles join a larger Prime Video programming suite that includes the Legally Blonde prequel Elle (July 1), the Canadian-exclusive streaming premiere of the Winnipeg-shot Normal, (August 28), the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (November 11), the second season of the Chris Pratt-led The Terminal List (October 21) and the upcoming third and fifth seasons of Fallout and the Ontario-shot Reacher, respectively.
