Samsung releases stylish fitness tracker in Korea, Italy, France and Russia

The day has come where electronics are both stylish and useful.

Charm by Samsung was launched in Korea, Italy, France and Russia today and though it looks like a bracelet, this device performs like a fitness tracker.

Charm features an unobtrusive square charm that tracks the number of steps you’ve taken in a day, the distance you’ve covered and the calories you’ve burned – all the while informing you of calls, texts and social media updates with colour-coated notifications.

In conjunction with the Samsung S Health app, Charm monitors your daily activity levels and comes with a built-in, 17mAh rechargeable battery that lets you use the device for up to 14 days. The Charm comes in gold, black and rose quartz and starts at $45 USD.

The most elegant wearable on the market is compatible with Android OS 4.4 and later versions, including the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge, as well as with S Health 4.6 or later.

While The Verge reports that Samsung plans to expand the release, it’s yet to say where, though there are rumours that the device will be on American shelves in the near future.
