LG’s Nexus 5X makes an early appearance on Amazon, will come in three colour options

We’re less than a week away from what is likely going to be the official unveiling of Google’s new pair of Nexus smartphones, but with new leaks occurring almost daily at this point, the company will be lucky if there’s anything left to announce by then.

Early this morning, Amazon India added the long rumoured LG Nexus 5X to its database and published the listing. The page appears to have since been taken down, but not before it was spotted by a Reddit user and shared across the Internet.

The listing states the upcoming smartphone will be available in three different colours — “Charcoal Black,” “Quartz White” and “Ice Blue.” This confirms an earlier report from Android Authority, which also said the 5X will be available in those colours.

The page goes on to confirm most of the 5X’s internal specifications. It says the Nexus 5X will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, a 1.8 GHz Snapdragon 808 processor, 2GB of RAM, a 2700 mAh battery, a 12.3 megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. In terms of internal storage, what’s likely to be a point of contention for a lot of people is the fact that the base model only comes with 16GB of space. There’s a larger 32 GB model, but nothing like the 128GB Nexus P we’ve heard about.

While a lot of what’s here meshes with what we’ve heard in the past, one point that seems off is the weight of the phone, which is listed at 175g, one gram less than the much larger Note 4.

In any case we won’t have to wait much longer to see the Nexus 5X and its larger sibling, the Nexus 6P, get announced.

Earlier in the week, the official packaging for both smartphones appeared online.

Update – Similar to the Huawei Nexus 6P, LG will come to market with several colour options for the Nexus 5X. Android Police has showed what the actual colours will look like and confirm the Amazon listing as charcoal black, ice blue, and quartz white.
