“It’s been way too long,” said Apple on its invitation to the upcoming media event on October 16th. The company is rumoured to announce a few new iPads, including a thinner iPad Air and a new Retina iPad mini. Both are expected to be thinner, come in a gold colour, and sport TouchID. Apple is also tipped to unveil new iMacs.
Apple has confirmed through its website that the event will be streamed live, specifically noting that “Live streaming video requires Safari 5.1.10 or later on OS X v10.6.8 or later; Safari on iOS 6.0 or later. Streaming via Apple TV requires second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.”
