It was more than a little strange that Motorola kept its custom April Fools boot screen for the Moto X and Moto G intact for the entire month of April. But May has come, and with it the melting of snowmen and the sprouting of beautiful yellow daisies. That is, according to the new boot screen launched today for both devices.
It’s nice that Motorola continues to use small touches like this to differentiate the Moto X and Moto G experience from the rest of the crowded Android market. This update adds the ability to differentiate media based on location, so it’s likely that a person in the northern hemisphere will see something different than one in the southern hemisphere — which makes sense for weather-related changes like this.
