Yet another Android device in Canada has been updated to Jelly Bean. This time around it’s the one-time flagship Samsung Galaxy SII HD LTE for Bell. On Facebook it was announced that “Jelly Bean (Android 4.1.2) is now available for GALAXY S II HD LTE owners with Bell. Upgrade your device through Samsung Kies.”

Hook up your device and let us know if you’ve received it.
(Thanks to everyone who sent this in!)

Samsung Kies. One of the reasons I don’t think I could ever buy another Samsung Mobile product….

I’m too dumb to learn how to use a simple application!

About time, Rogers Galaxy SII LTE had the update in January!

Updated with no issues, no hiccups this morning in Kelowna, BC. Took all of 20 minutes from time of starting download until the time I was adjusting apps. Nice upgrade – made my already quick phone, smooth and fluid feeling.

Hey guys have a question for all of you… I bought an unlocked I9100 international GS2 when I was in Belgium and it is still on ICS… I am using it on Fido and I was wondering if my device should already be on Jelly Bean and if so, would I automatically get it through Kies ? Right now it says my firmware is up to date… I do not want to root my phone :) It’s not that important anymore as I am waiting for my GS4 to be delivered, but I am just curious… Thanks

How is it that the s2 has 4.1.2 and the s3 still has 4.1.1?

Got it good to go. Kies is always slow to back up but worth it for jelly bean. MUCH improved battery life (73% at 3pm after pulling off the charger at 7am) and I’m using the phone a bunch more than normal because of Google now.

After many hours of trying I final got my phone updated and…..My Phone has been worse since I updated it. Always locking and freezing. Slow to respond and battery life seems worse. How do I go back!

Still have ice cream version and when i check for firmware it says that it says that my phone does not support initializing :/

Do you have to be on Rogers or Bell service providers to get this update??
