Don’t count BlackBerry out of the ‘phablet’ race. According to Peter Misek, analyst from Jefferies, believes that BlackBerry will enter the larger display sizes later this year and release a 5-inch BlackBerry 10 device. In a report to his clients he indicated that the design will be similar to the Z10, just bigger.
In addition, re-confirmed the words from BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins that there will be more BB10 devices coming this year: a mid-range device with a QWERTY keyboard (priced around $400), a mid-range touch, plus the 5-incher. Heins recently stated that “There’s one new product I’m really excited about, but I can’t really share it… It takes BlackBerry 10 to another level in terms of the user experience.”
BlackBerry already has the Z10 in market, plus we Canadians will see the QWERTY/Touch BlackBerry Q10 hit stores on April 30th.
