Samsung Galaxy Note II no-term pricing will be $729.99, 3-year set at $199.99

It was revealed last week that the upcoming quad-core Samsung Galaxy Note II 3-year price would range between $149.99 and $249.99. Best Buy listed the lower end pricing to be available at Bell and TELUS, while Rogers was on the higher-end. Today, the big box retailer has shifted their pricing around for the TELUS and Bell versions and bumped up the cost by $50 to $199.99. This makes a bit more sense. We’ve also been informed that the no-term pricing for the Jelly Bean powered Android will be $729.99 (from the Big 3 carriers).

The Note II and its 5.5-inch display and S-Pen will be available on October 30th via TELUS, Bell, Rogers, Mobilicity, WIND, Mobilicity, Videotron and SaskTel.

(Thanks to everyone who sent this in!)

Still no compelling reason to give up my original Note !

  • jack

    s**t is cray

Hmm would have orefered 149.99 but it did seem a bit low considering the gs3 is still 159..oh well.

I was going to say thats a pretty large gap but with the contract price at 199 that gives a device balance of 550 thats the same as the One X and $50 more then the SIII so assuming you do not buy it on sale you should be good. Look at the original note $50 upfront and a $730 balance

How much for the 32 or 64GB versions?

  • iphoneee

    iPhone :D

  • Plan Shopper

$830 after HST in Ontario (recycling fee guessed at $5)outright. It’s an amazing phone but a lot of money for a mobile computing device that makes calls. We’ll have to see what Rogers says about renewing my contract.

  • Iphone sucks

This might be my next phone:)

  • FIDOdollars

I wish I could get this phone with my FidoDollars :/

  • WhySoMobile?

I think Apple should sue Samsung for charging more.

  • iphoneuser

I wish Fido would get this phone.

I’ll skip international version cause I want LTE in Canada.

  • mrmarquis

Rogers thinks they are such a premium company that they can charge a premium and get away with it comsumers will not be fooled.

  • hoo dat

Seven hundred and thirty frackin’ dollars how much???

  • Alex

OK well now I just want to see the Price drop on the OG NOTE…

  • KID ANDROID

Ya but with all the shipping & everything it still works out to like $800.
Anybody interested in buying a basically brand new Galaxy Note in the box with 2 cases (Otter Box Defender & Samsung flip case) also new in the boxes. I’m in the Barrie Ontario area & am asking $520 cash. Let me know – KID ANDROID ( Team.Android.Canada)

  • mauricio

waiting to get the videotron version

  • Mark

That’s the international version. No LTE. Big drawback as I get in 45MBPS down on Rogers LTE in Vancouver.

  • William

So expensive! I’d rather split into smartphone and ultrabook!

  • Vince

Think I will keep the original, it actually has more pixels and a greater pixel density

    .

  • sunvv

It makes microsoft’s surface price more reasonable.

  • lol

look at the sheep trying to justify the cost. lol

  • this guy

Great price point! with a screen that large who needs to buy a tablet. processor that fast, who need to use there computer. I’m going to sell the s**t out of this phone!

  • Not a bear

Surprising that Rogers has it the most expensive.

    • Plan Shopper

Yes, I agree. Usually it is Rogers with the lowest, then Bell in the middle with Telus high on top with pricing. Just look at the OGN pricing right now…

      Rogers $650
      Bell $730
      Telus $780

  • zayed

    i think wind price will be no-windtab $749.99 with windtab $40 plan-$399 $25 and $35 plan $549

But, Galaxy Note II has LTE in Canada as written on :
    Telus web site
Bestbuy web site for Bell, Roger and Telus

      You’re misunderstanding what we’re saying.

Yes we know it has LTE on board already.

We’re talking about the “International” version of the Galaxy Note 2. International in the mobile world means NOT North America. “Internation” LTE frequency is different than North American LTE frequency.

Mark was referring to the Amazon link by Mike.

What I was saying was that I hope Fido gets the Galaxy Note 2 because I don’t want to purchase the “International” version as the LTE frequency will be ‘incompatible’ with North American LTE frequency.

  • deli

loving my note 2. will definitely switch to a LTE enabled one. Waiting to see if wind/mobilicity carries LTE (but disabled) just like Tmobile.

  • John

    $729….are they mentally deranged???

  • deli

$720 is pretty standard for the Note series. Overseas is about to the same. I think North Americans are too spoiled by $0 contracted devices and 95% of folks get their devices this way. Nothign wrong with that but it diminished the value of a smartphone – as great as the note 2.

  • Bruce

Newegg has it for $679.99 its not the AWS version :(

    • Plan Shopper

It also only comes with 90 day warranty

  • Mike

    Wow that’s expensive.

  • Mohamed

For once a phone more expensive than an IPhone hey Cook are you gonna sue Samsung ?

  • fandroidno1

Lol 730 dollars for that piece of garbage, that is one expensive door stop

  • RaptorsTV

    Waaaaaaaay too overpriced!

  • Shuji

Thats great, $70 off of savings than the original SGN1 price of $799.99. Expected to be more expensive than the 1st Note.

  • ken

the rogers note 2 is also now 199 on bestbuy.ca

  • Justin

Wind is easily going to price this at $299 or higher (plus throw $700 on your Wind Tab basically locking you into a 3 year contract).

They still have the 16gb S3 for $299 and Galaxy Nexus for $99 + wind tab prices which lock you to 3 years. Ridiculous!
