Analyst believes Apple will sell 10 million new iPhones by the end of September

Apple is expected to announce the “iPhone 5” tomorrow. The device itself is supposed to be bigger, thinner, have LTE-capabilities, and sport a similar design than the iPhone 4 and 4S. In addition, with the pending announcement tomorrow, Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, is rumoured to share the news that the iPhone 5 will be available for sale starting on September 21st.

When Apple released the iPhone 4S last year they also declared it as being “the most amazing iPhone yet.” The main reason for the title is because the device sold more that four million units in its first weekend.” The first weekend numbers for the iPhone 4 was 1.7 million units. So how many are the analysts expecting for the new iPhone 5? Huge numbers, mainly caused by pent up demand. According to Gene Munster, an analyst at Piper Jaffray, he believes that Apple will sell 10 million iPhone 5 by the end of September.
