    • I have an Optimus One, it’s a surprisingly good device for its specs, don’t mind the 600MHz CPU, it doesn’t lag like older 600MHz phones did (I think this is an ARMv7). Downside is no flash.

The Apollo is Telus’ worst Android device, I’ve used the Apollo for a while and it’s not worth the waste of money, the LG Shine Plus is far better off (and LG are pushing 2.3 soon to their devices).

    • @sookster

yes, i admit the optimus one is a GREAT device. the thing is that i want to use it as a media player, and i heard the o1 isn’t very good, while the apollo is great.

    • optimus is ARMv6, and that’s why you can’t have Flash

  3. I’m always amazed at carriers deploying an older OS version than the current one on devices.
It’s like upgrading computers this month with Vista.
    Not fun I say.

  6. @asdgasj I use my O1 as my media player, works good. It’s a Koodo O1 with a Telus 2.2.1 (V10G?), but I modified the boot to support init.d and added Darktremmor’s A2SD+ and Dookmat’s kernel to OC the CPU to 729MHz and those are the only modifications. I use Winamp, SLacker and TuneIn radio and a 16GB SDcard (sd tools measured 9MB write/28MB read) so I think my 16GB is a class 10 that came in a class 4 package.

  9. Has anybody ever gotten Kies to work with this phone? Always chokes on installing Windows drivers.
