In a weeks time the TELUS Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate 4G will hit Canadian soil. We let you know about this last week but this was confirmed again today on Twitter by Samsung Canada. They are celebrating by doing a bunch of giveaways in various Canadian cities: Toronto, Calgary, Montreal and Vancouver. You can see all the details on their Twitter page but it looks like they are giving away 10 devices per location on launch date, which is May 12th.
We’re still waiting on the official price point of this Android 2.2 device (will eventually be upgraded to 2.3). Other notable specs of “Canada’s first 4G” smartphone have it capable of hitting peak download speeds of 21 Mbps, 4-inch Super AMOLED display, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities (records 720p HD videos), VGA front-facing camera, 1 GHz processor, GPS, Wi-Fi and creates a Wi-Fi hotspot.
