Mobilicity Nexus S now available online for $499.99

New-entrant Mobilicity was one of the first carriers to announce they’ll be releasing the Nexus S and yesterday they started selling the Android in-stores across Canada. They did however take their time putting the Android-powered device up online for web orders… but it’s now available at a respectable $499.99.

  1. Not a bad price for this phone. Although I would never touch another Samsung again after the experience I had with the Captivate.

Wonder how many of these will be bought by Wind customers?! And if Wind will now be forced to drop their price.

  3. The plan: buy it at Mobilicity for $499 and port it to Wind – you will get $100 credit for porting your number to Wind = Nexus S for $399 :-)

  4. Google doesn’t allow carrier branding and locking on their phones, and the nexus s is one of them…

  7. The phone is unlocked (when I checked myself after buying 3 of them from Mobilicity). I’m not porting my # to Wind as Mobi offers a better $45 plan and I got a deal with free unlimited data as well. All for $50.85 a month after taxes, plus adding a family line, the other two plans are $5 off.

Def worth it. I live north of Major Mackenzie in Richmond Hill, closer to Oakridges and I have full bars.

  8. Can you still get unlimited data with Mobi with the $45 plan included?

  9. I know you can with Wind so I assume you also can with Mobi.

  10. …update: It seems you can get the Unlimited data included in the $45 plan only with Wind based on the Mobi and Wind web page.
