WIND released the Nokia C7 last week and they are bringing on yet another Nokia device this week too. The C5-04 will apparently available on April 7th for the ripe no-contract price of $150 or $0 on their WINDtab. It’s a solid price for this Symbian device and will be replacing the Nokia 5230. Notable specs of the C5 have it coming with a 3.2-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 640 x 360, 5 megapixel camera with video capabilities, 3.5 mm headset jack and holds up to 16GB.

More soon.

Nice phone! With a very nice price to boot, good job Wind! Anyone know if this phone is pentaband btw?

  • Landon

Sure, now just tell us when the Nexus S is launching, and finally put a price on it.

The lack of information regarding this particular device is mind-boggling to me.

    • Landon

I should point out that it’s not MobileSyrup’s lack of information that is mind-boggling. After all, the news is only as good as the sources available.

    • Justin

Pretty confident it isn’t WIND holding back pricing details but rather Samsung. It’s going to be released for nearly every Canadian carrier and pricing isn’t release for a single one.

    • Justin Credible

What are you talking about? Lack of information??? WIND is one of the few carriers which actually stated the words “Nexus S” is coming, and they said it weeks ago in a press release. What more do you need to know?

Compare that to some other carriers who have not said a thing yet, like Fido or Rogers, or carriers like Koodo who only just yesterday finally said something even though pretty much everyone is carrying it.

    • Landon

I’m not saying it’s WIND holding back the information either. We don’t know the only two important things to know: When it’s (actually) out, and how much it’s going to be.

Regardless of who’s the holdout, it’s still beyond frustrating. It also makes no sense. Why hold back information that can only please?

  • asdklg

phone looks nice but i’d rather stick with koodo :)
    also i dont like symbian

    • Landon

Especially since Symbian has basically been killed by Nokia at this point.

      Also WIND is t3h awesome.

  • Radar

wow, 4 new devices within 2 weeks and still the Nexus S coming soon – good job Wind!

Yet another OLD handset ( Dec 2010 ) hmmm typical wind following behind anything cutting edge? Other than staff and call centers?

    • chall2k5

      4 months is OLD?

      well Chatr is ancient

    • Wildspin

When was Chatr mentioned about last time? LOL

    • TheReg

What’s your point, your mom is probably 45-80 years old and more obsolete than this phone.

  • RoccoStiffReddi

chall I am afraid yes in tech it is old.. Released and re-released yet again. No worries they ” have ” the nexus when they will release it who knows! Mobli says the 7th saw the rogers version today niiice.. the girl at wind said coming soon. so lets see! The telus rep hinted Clearnet is coming to Ontario May-June Looks like Wind, is it even still called that, is in for a fight.

    • chall2k5

if any carrier is in for trouble, its Mobi, and Public…plus Clearnet has no data, and they don’t sell a SIM to use any HSPA device, so Wind is safe for now. As for the court case, we gotta wait till after the election to figure it all out

At 150, this is not so bad, considering it now has Wifi, a better camera and better processor at 150(pretty close to the 5230), although it is symbian still. Atleast it’s not overpriced like the C7, the LG dLite, Alcatel, or Samsung though.

    Congrats Wind!
