MTS will release the BlackBerry Curve 9300 with OS 6 on March 31st

MTS is 16 days away from officially launching their new “4G” network. The devices that have been announced to date are the BlackBerry Bold 9780, Torch 9780, Apple iPhone 4, Nokia C6-00 and now the Curve 9300 has been added to the list. Certainly not the newest device on the block but it’s good to see them offering a devices that will go for various price points. Speaking of – still no official word on any pricing but it’ll be similar to what all the other carriers are offering. In addition, MTS will be offering incentives to customers who bundle several offerings together.

Probably the best news regarding the upcoming MTS Curve 9300 is that it’s going to be launching with the new BlackBerry 6 OS (customers with carriers are still waiting for this upgrade on this device).

  2. I am surprised with 16 days before launch they still have no provided any pricing information. Not sure if this will be a soft launch like Telus did, but I was expecting a lot more ads and a much wider selection of phones to start creating some buzz around.

  3. I suspect that since MTS built the 4G network, and rogers gets to roam on it that MTS will have pretty much all the Rogers devices at launch. There is probably some PR crap that prevents MTS from advertising any of the Rogers devices until a certain date.

At least I hope that’s the case. If not, I have no idea why MTS would let Rogers roam on their 4G network and loose the exclusivity of being the only province wide provider.
