Remember over the Summer when Samsung Canada held a beast of a concert that featured Metric. This was to launch the Galaxy S Vibrant and it seems they’re at it again… this time it’s the entire Galaxy Series of devices. This one is an invite only event and most likely they’ll have the Captivate, Tab and Fascinate on hand (and Vibrant). Plus they’ve brought on Canadian band Faber Drive for the musical entertainment.

Does anyone know if the Canadian version will be the same as the American ones with their lack of voice capability?

Man, Rogers messed up bad. I was waiting for Rogers’ captivate to come out but then I realized that Bell’s Vibrant had a front facing camera and it was already out. Seriously I doubt there are many people waiting for the Samsung Captivate. Most of them probably went with the Samsung Vibrant.

THere was a leak from Best Buy USA for a Wifi only Tab. $499.99.
A bit pricey IMO. Dont know that it should be the same price as the base Ipad. I really need to hold one of these in my hands to decide if its too small. I badly want an Android tablet for all the functionality it brings, but im very tempted to get an Ipad and just jailbreak it. Havent been too blown away by any Android offerings in the tablet world so far (both in specs and price….though I do think the Tab blows the Ipad outta the water….just that small screen…).
And this is from a Nexus One owner.

Sprint released their version of the tab for $400 on a two year contract. I’m afraid to see what the Canadian telcos will charge for this.

I have the sneaking suspicion that the big 3 are going to utterly rape us on pricing on these. Its a shame, but i’m not really interested in this particular segment of the market personally, so i’ll just gripe from afar.
