What we’ve got here are a few pics of HP CTO Phil McKinney playing with some upcoming products. These are described by Mark Budgell, HP’s PR Manager of Social Media Strategy, who tweeted these as “mysterious gadgets” that will be shown at the upcoming SXSW 2011. McKinney will be on a panel and the SXSW where he “will make some bold predictions for the future – backed up with a number of breakthrough prototypes”. Unfortunately the products are all blacked out but the easy answer to looking at these is that HP/Palm are working on a tablet, wristwatch and a new smartphone that will all interact nicely with the webOS platform.

SXSW is still quite a few months away. I wonder if there will be any new webOS products before then. At this point, people have all but forgotten webOS

yea!! SXSW is so far away in the future! By then we’ll be on Android 5.0 and have multitasking on WP7! LOL
But in all seriousness, HP/Palm needs to bring new devices to the market for this holiday season or they truly will be forgotten.
