Bell to launch Samsung Wave at $29.95 on 3-year, $299.95 no contract

Bell will launching the Samsung Wave tomorrow and it’s the first device that’s powered by the Bada platform. You can expect to see this available for a acceptable intro price of $29.95 on a 3-year contract and $299.95 no-contract.

If you want to take a look at this before you purchase head on over to the video we captured a couple weeks back. It’s a good overview of the new touchscreen.

This will also be released by Rogers soon. Anyone going to get the Wave?

  1. this phone is already in stock at The Source. It will be for sale tomorrow, July 8th. (probably only at busy locations. smaller stores likely won’t carry it right away)

  2. Wow! Seriously, Samsung’s in a good position to eat up a large share of the smartphone market with that kind of pricing!

  4. The price is great but since this is the first device running Bada and the uncertainty of the platform maybe lowering the non-contract price as a promo might be a good move

  7. I can see it.

$300, wow.. this could tempt me to
Bada OS. I’ll wait to see how real world battery life holds up first.

  8. There’s already a couple more Samsung Bada handsets I’d like to see before I jump on this one – I’d rather not buy a first release and I’d prefer to have a full keyboard.
