Bell Motorola DEXT now available

Today those who want to get the Motorola DEXT can no do so as it’s officially available in Canada through Bell. This Android-powered device runs off of OS 1.5 and comes with Motorola’s MOTOBLUR, has a 3.1 inch display (resolution of 320 x 480), full QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and video capabilities, 3.5 mm audio jack, can hold up to 32GB with a microSD card (Bell ships you a 2GB card), A-GPS, WiFi. Overall dimensions are 114 x 58 x 15.6mm with a weight of 163 grams.

Bell is still updating their site but Best Buy is all good to go and has this available on the following price plans:
3-year contract: $79.99 and No-Contract: $399.99

  2. Seems like what I’ve been looking for — a moderately priced QWERTY Android phone with a standard headphone jack.

    What are the prospects for “rooting” it and installing a more up-to-date OS?

  4. Just bought this phone and im absolutly loving it! Its a must-buy for people looking for an android phone. Motorola has finally started making competitive phones again!
