Rogers calls Smartphones “Webphones” and drops prices of some stellar devices

webphonesWe first reported about Rogers new promo that switches some Smartphones to “Webphones” last week. However with the HSPA network launches of both Bell and TELUS it seems Rogers wants Canadians to know where to shop for good deals.

Here are a few good deals going on over at Rogers:
- BlackBerry Bold 9000: $99.99 on a 3-year contract (available in Black or White)
- BlackBerry Curve 8900: $79.99 on a 3-year contract
- BlackBerry Curve 8520: $49.99 on a 3-year contract (available in Black or Lavender)
- LG Eve is $49.99 on a 3-year contract
- Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is $99.99 on a 3-year contract
- HTC Magic is $79.00 on a 3-year contract

Rogers has a contest going on now where you can possibly win one of these “webphones”. All you have to do is enter all your personal info. Plus, they say that another contest is “coming soon” called “The Ultimate Facebook Contest”.

    2. Would be more of a good deal if these prices were for 2 year contract.

      Get bent Rogers.

Now add up what you’ll pay over three years in a contract for the same plan.

    4. Rogers is no better than they’ve ever been. $50 less for a handset is nothing compared to the thousands you’ll spend over the 3 years you’re locked in for.

Rogers is disgusting. I don’t know if Bell or Telus are any better, but I know that Rogers is disgusting.

    5. How about you don’t sign a contract and purchase the phone for $599 ?

      Grow up Nate
