Rogers officially launches Blackberry Curve 8900

With scores of video reviews already on the web, Rogers has officially announced the BlackBerry Curve 8900 to their lineup. This is currently available from $179.99 on a 3 year contract with a minimum $45 voice and data plan.

Key features of this smartphone is that it has the style of a Bold, but looks like a Curve. In addition, this supports UMA (Rogers Talkspot), has GPS, Wi-Fi, full QWERTY keyboard with a 2.4-inch high-res HVGA display (480 x 360). RIM is touting this as their thinnest BlackBerry to date: measures 109mm x 60mm x 13.5mm and weighs 110 grams.

In addition, on the media side of the device this comes loaded with a wicked media player, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, flash, zoom and video capabilities… and can hold up to 16GB.

Other price plans include (all with Voice and Data): 1-Year: $549.99; 2-Year: $499.99.
