CRTC to consider fine-tuning 3 telemarketing rules

CRTC says it will review 3 requirements associated with the Unsolicited Telecommunications Rules. First, certain exempt telemarketing calls and faxes. Second, the current registration period for the National DNCL. Third, rules to govern the use of Automatic Dialing and Announcing Devices. More here

  1. It’s about time! I receive more automated calls now than I did personal call before signing up on Sept. 30, 2008.

    I would also like to see an end to Market Research calls. They are on par with telemarketers. If they want to test customer knowledge and opinions let them do it the way they used to … panels and paper.
