Nokia to buy Canadian-based OZ Communications?

Nokia is set to announce their continued acquisitions of “social media” organizations. Over the past couple years they have Loudeye, Twango, Plazes, Enpocket and Navteq.

OZ builds “mobile messaging solutions” for mobile operators, handset manufacturers, portals and online sites and we first wrote about them back in May when secured $10 million in funding to develop mobile applications. Oz Communications mobile Instant Messenger, e-mail and its social networking solutions are used by Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile USA, Alltel, Rogers Wireless, Telenor and others.
