Rogers is hoping free stuff is the way to entice Canadians to purchase the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
All carriers are offering the Samsung Gear VR with Controller with every pre-order of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, but Rogers is taking things a stem further by offering the gift of binge-watching Netflix. According to the carrier’s site, new and existing Rogers customers that sign up on a 2-year Share Everything plan will score the Gear VR ($199.99 value) and 6-months of free Netflix, which the carrier notes has a value of $59.94.
The fine print is standard and indicates, “Netflix offer must be redeemed by June 30, 2017. Limit one offer per Rogers account. New or existing Netflix customers receiving this notification are eligible for this offer. Credit for six (6) months of Netflix two (2) stream service screen Standard streaming plan ($59.94 value) will be applied to member’s Netflix account. Offer can be combined with any current promotional Netflix offer on member’s account. Existing Netflix members may apply value of offer to their current or a different Netflix plan (may alter duration of offer).”
The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will officially be available in Canada on April 21st but Rogers, like its competitors, will ship the new flagship to pre-order customers by April 11th.
Update: Rogers is no longer offering the $100 pre-paid Visa
