Google Pixel and Pixel XL specs revealed, will offer unlimited photo/video storage and ‘Google Magic’

UK-based Carphone Warehouse has revealed the complete specs of Google’s still unannounced Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones.

“The power of Google at your fingertips. Every touch, every interaction, every moment — made easy. Available in 2 sizes,” says the site. Of course, much can change before the official announcement on October 4th, but it looks like the Pixel will feature  5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel display with the Pixel XL will coming equipped with a 5.5-inch 2560 x 1440 pixel screen, both with Gorilla Glass 4.

The pixel apparently features a 12-megapixel main shooter and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) on both devices. Google will also reportedly offer “unlimited storage for your photos and videos, all stored at full resolution in Google Photos.”

As expected, the Pixel and Pixel XL will run Android Nougat (7.1) and are powered by a 2.15GHz Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB or 128GB of internal storage, fingerprint sensor, 2770mAh battery for the Pixel and 3450 mAh packed into the Pixel XL, with quick charging that promises “7 hours of battery life in just 15 minutes.”

Overall dimensions are 143.8mm x 69.5mm x 8.6mm with a weight of 143g for the Pixel. The larger Pixel XL measures in at 154.7mm x 75.7mm x 8.6mm and 168 grams.

Update 10/03/16: Verizon has joined in on the leak fest, revealing that the Pixel and Pixel XL will come in black, silver and a blue variation. If the copy is correct, Google will also unveil a new feature called “Google Magic.”

In addition, reputable device leaker Evan Blass has shown off hi-res press render images of the blue model.
